·         I will steal from those who won’t really miss it (74%)

·         I will waste a full day of work each week (50%)

Slaves, obey your masters; be eager to give them your very best. Serve them as you would Christ. Don’t work hard only when your master is watching and then shirk when he isn’t looking; work hard and with gladness all the time, as though working for Christ, doing the will of God with all your hearts. Remember, the Lord will pay you for each good thing you do, whether you are slave or free. And you slave owners must treat your slaves right, just as I have told them to treat you. Don’t keep threatening them; remember, you yourselves are slaves to Christ; you have the same Master they do, and he has no favorites.                                     Ephesians 6:5-9

 

You slaves must always obey your earthly masters, not only trying to please them when they are watching you but all the time; obey them willingly because of your love for the Lord and because you want to please him. Work hard and cheerfully at all you do, just as though you were working for the Lord and not merely for your masters, remembering that it is the Lord Christ who is going to pay you, giving you your full portion of all he owns. He is the one you are really working for. And if you don’t do your best for him, he will pay you in a way that you won’t like – for he has no special favorites who can get away with shirking. You slave owners must be just and fair to all your slaves. Always remember that you, too, have a Master in heaven who is closely watching you.               Colossians 3:22 – 4:1

How would I deal with this person if they were a member of my family?

 

If you want to love your job, love the people with whom you work.

The Christian work ethic has no room for laziness.

 

A lazy fellow is a pain to his employers - like smoke in their eyes. Prov 10:26

                                                                                   

Work is only hard to those who hardly work.

 

The deepest sleep and the greatest rest comes to those who work hardest.

Attitude is independent of circumstances.

Attitude is a choice.

 

Working hard with a bad attitude is dangerous!

Working with someone with a good attitude is a delight!

 

Work with complaining lasts for hours,

 while cheerful labor passes in minutes.

 

Don’t just get the job done. Do it with a smile.

Christians don’t work for the company, the boss, or the money;

Christians work for the Lord.

 

There is no distinction between secular and sacred employment.

 

10 Commandments for Christians at work

1.       Work hard.

2.       Learn to go the extra mile.

3.       Motivate others with trust and encouragement.

4.       Refuse to criticize or gossip about those not present.

5.       Express grievances personally and privately.

6.       Disclose your values early on to avoid later misunderstandings.

7.       Love your work.

8.       Develop a servant mentality.

9.       Be quick to take the blame.

10.    Be quick to share the credit.
